Toxic Momma Bird Needs Empty Nest

What do we need? Annye & Gereg need funds to buy an RV to escape a toxic living situation.

Why? They gave up jobs and rent-control to come care for Annye's mom - but the situation is not what was expected. With no savings and their only income coming from disability & SS, this GoFundMe is the only way to raise the funds they need.



The long story:

My husband and I are trapped in a toxic family environment - we moved down to Southern California to care for my disabled mother last year,  and from making decent money in San Francisco we've been reduced to unpaid 24/7 elder care and premature  retirement  and the suddenly very real possibility of being evicted when Mom sells her home and ditches us for assisted living.

Without telling tales, it hasn't been
working out as well as everyone hoped.
Currently, we have good reason to believe
she's planning to move out and sell her
home in the near future. No, no mention
has been actually been made to US of her
plans, but being a bit hard of hearing her
phone conversations have been less than
subtle. We can't confront her directly
unless we ourselves have a means of
escape.

My Beloved and I are looking to go on the
road with a pre-owned RV. There are not
only lovely RV parks throughout the country, but there are jobs for those of us who love the tourist industry, where we could settle in for months at a time as Campground Hosts. It's not likely a forever plan, but it'll give us a way to hone our saleable crafts and recover our equilibrium.

We'd very much like to have the ability to
leave before she tells us we're evicted. My
brother is close by and has been pushing
his ideas about assisted living on her, and my sister (in another state) is working to further Mom's new plans, so she'd be by no means on her own in her decline. We had something we thought was working well for all of us, and that's clearly no longer the case. Please help us restore happiness to several parts of the world.
