Ultra Run for Towerhill Sanctuary

The first weekend of March 2023 I will be running the 4x4x48 challenge with thousands of other people around the world to raise money for good causes.

The 4x4x48 is an event inspired by ex-Navy Seal and ultrarunning nutbag David Goggins, running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours - 12 runs in total covering 48 miles.

I will be starting at 8am on Friday 3rd March and will be heading out for my last lap at 4am on Sunday 5th March.

Why am I doing it? Apart from being an ultrarunning nutbag myself, I am also extremely nutty about animals too! So, I would love to combine the two passions and try to raise some much-needed funding for Fiona’s Animal Sanctuary.

Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary (THS) was founded in 1993 by the amazing Vegan Ultrarunner Fiona Oakes, with a mission to provide care and a forever home to animals in need. Since that time, the sanctuary has just grown to over 600 animals spanning across 6 yards. Whether they are retired racehorses, ex-fighting dogs, or neglected and abused farm animals, they all are given love, respect, medical care and a peaceful place to live at THS.

How will your gift help the animals? A £10 donation will purchase 3 bales of hay, a £15 donation will purchase 2 sacks of feed for the horses, a £25 will purchase 3 sacks of sheep feed, and a £100 contribution provides veterinary care to our most needy residents. Any amount donated will help.
