Towards unexpected vet bill

Donation protected
Hi,
My name is coralee. I am looking to fundraise money towards my cats unexpected vet bill.

I am a single mum to 3 girls ages 4, 23 months and 10 months, i currently recieve benefits.

I got my cat baba (1year and 3months) from a friend who was moving house but couldnt take the cat with her so i took her on, with me and orignial owner not knowing she was 2 weeks pregnant at the time, i have had her in my care for 7 weeks now, and on friday morning i noticed her belly moving when she was laying down to which i realised she was pregnant.

Well on that same day friday 13th at 2.15 baba then went into labour and gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens, it was a hard labour for her as she needed help with the 2nd and 3rd but after she gave birth i noticed she was straining again thinking another one was coming but she ended up with a vaginal prolapse instead.

I had called pdsa saturday morning to get her seen but they explained they couldnt help me as they do not deal with pregnancy related problems. So after ringing around i had no choice but in getting her seen by thepark vets.

I took baba saturday morning to be giving a list of what would needed doing which would have been a scan to make sure there was no kittens left, a possible c section, sedation, pushing the prolapse back in but if unsucessful then it would have to be surgically removed. A possible 48 hour stay and feeding.

Baba went in for her scan for me to be told there was 1 more kitten and it was alive so they was needed to perform a c section on baba.

After her c section they tried their best for the kitten but its heart beat just wasnt getting any stronger so it unfortunatly passed away.

Babas prolapse was managed to be pushed back in so it didnt require surgery but did require some stitches.

I then got a phonecall saturday evening to say she was ready to be picked up and then told that the total of the bill was £2007 and that i needed to pay 50% upfront to which i explained i did not have that kind of money and could not get that kind of money together.

They accepted all i had which was £100 to get baba back that night and a family member that collected her also put in £107 so that has left me with a total of £1800 left on the bill.

I was told i could set up a payment plan but at the time wasnt told it was spread over only 3 months until saturday evening!

I explained there is no way i can pay that sort of money off in 3 months when im a single mum of 3 on benefits. They are saying there is nothing they can really do.

So my last resort is to try and raise the money for it, i have been very stressed and worried about what may happen if i dont get the money together.

It was an unexpected thing to happen and it couldnt be helped but its a bill i just dont have the money for unfortunally.

So im hoping by the power of this and all the lovely people i can raise the funds to pay the bill of to pay half the bill.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
