Zias huge unexpected vet bill

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Vikki, some may remember me and my horse from 9 years ago when we lost her mum during foaling and had to post all over social media to find her a foster mare, in which we were successful.

We as a family moved from Kent to the Scottish Highlands last year to fulfil our dreams and of corse Zia being a huge part of the family moved too, on Saturday the 3rd of may Zia had a freak accident whilst on her track type set up, she panicked and run blind through an electric fence and then attempted to jump a 5 bar metal gate. The injury sustained from the electric fence was a small but deep laceration to her front left fetlock and another very large one just below her left hock, luckily the joint wasn't involved but she did sether through the extensor tendon on that hind. The injury sustained from attempting to jump the gate was a huge 'degloving' type wound to the inside of her right hind. There were also 3 or 4 smaller minor cuts and grazes. On discussions with the emergency vet and referral practices it was decided that the original quote was manageable for us as a family so we went ahead and had her transported that evening to Glasgow University equine hospital where she still currently remains (due home next week) unfortunately for us the bill is expected to be more than double what we were originally quoted. Zia underwent a general anesthetic on the 4th May to repair all the wounds, the surgery was about 4.5 hours in total, general anesthetics in horses are risky themselves let alone all the after math of dealing with these types of wounds, however Zia has exceeded everyone's expectations and absolutely smashed her recovery and is almost fully healed but of corse this has come with a huge cost.
As a family we have recently found ourselves in a horrible situation where we are now having to move ( mid august) due to the landlord being a very nasty and controlling man, this has put a huge amount of stress and worry and financial burden over our heads at an already distressing time. Of corse it will be better for us in the long run and Zia( and her little friend Rodney) to have a beautiful new field just a minute or two walk from the new house which will be fantastic but it still doesn't take away the worry of finances and this huge vet bill, along with the costs of moving again ect.
Zias journey hasn't been easy from the start, we lost her mum during foaling and eventually through social media found a foster mare from Lancashire, she's had many problems over her 9 years of life including tooth removals, ovary removal, skin issues and stifle issues all in which we've of corse accepted because to me and us as a family she is irreplaceable. I (Vikki) suffer quite severely with anxiety, some of which is ptsd from the night of Zias birth (her mum prolapsed 6ft of her large intestine all while I tried to sling it in towels to keep it clean ect) it is a night i will never ever forget but this also makes Zia so so special to me, she is my reason to get up in the morning, she's been my therapist and my tear mop on so many occasions and I can't and don't want to imagine my life without her, at 9 years old she still (hopefully) has many years to live a happy and healthy life under my absolute devotion to her. I owe this mare the world and more for how much she's helped me just exist and get through many dark days. So if you can spare a little to help me and my family get Zias bill paid we would be forever grateful.
