We are two independent female run businesses and, in efforts to keep spirits high and business coming in during these tough times, we brainstormed a project.
We've decided to run a summer headshot popup where we will be taking photos, touching up hair and makeup, and reminiscing about what amazing crafts you made, recipes you tested, and enjoying some IRL face time... finally! Hugging will never be the same.
Alisha Tova will be utilizing her photography services for headshots. Emily Katz & Kelly Bush of Goldust Studios will be providing hair and makeup touchups. You will receive 3 headshots, boosted confidence, and good karma for supporting your local freelance babes.
We are asking for $60/ticket if you live in the Chicago area. Just leave us a note saying 'STUDIO POPUP' so we can get in touch when we organize the event. We are thinking a Sunday in late summer. If you do not live in the Chicago area but still want to support, we kindly thank you. Every bit helps even if it's just $5. Please leave your address and specify if your donation is to ‘Goldust Studios’ or ‘Tova Studios’ so we can drop you a note!
To give a bit of background, Alisha is a wedding photographer and owner of an independent run photo studio. Goldust Woman is a hair and makeup team with their own salon and wedding business. We often work together, collaborate on projects, and lean on one another for business support. Your help with assist with our overhead cost of our spaces, keeping business afloat during the time when no incoming is coming in, and offering us a chance to keep growing and changing in a world that is at a standstill.
Thank you so much everyone. Community has built our business, and it will get us through this time. Any donations will help us in more ways than you can imagine (studio rent, health insurance, weeks without income, you get the idea).
