I'm participating in the "Tour de 4" on 7 September 2025 to raise funds for Treetops Hospice.

The Tour de 4 is a charity cycling event in Glasgow initiated by Sir Chris Hoy and his vision is to bring together people who have been affected by cancer - whether directly or indirectly - to challenge perceptions, inspire hope and raise vital funds for cancer charities across the UK.

The Treetops Treetops Hospice is an end-of-life care charity for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung Cancer last year (which came as a bit of a shock, as I had my last drag on a fag aged about 14 behind the bike sheds at school!).

Despite it being a terminal diagnosis, I have fortunately responded well to treatment and as I'm currently in good health, I'm keen to raise as much money as possible for a worthy cause (although you could say that I have a vested interest!).

Seriously, please give as generously as you can:- It's a great cause and so many of us are affected either directly or indirectly by this bloody awful disease.
