Help Torie Rebuild After Cyber Attack

Our dear friend Torie has been hit with an unimaginable crisis. In the last two weeks, she’s had her iCloud hacked, her identity stolen, and all of her devices completely corrupted. She’s been locked out of every important account—cut off from her ability to work, communicate, and live her daily life.

Torie is a digital nomad. Her primary career is a freelance marketer + social media advertising specialist on top of numerous other hats we know she wears – all entirely online – as well as a traveling musician and event producer. Needless to say: losing access to her computer, phone, and music library has been devastating, both professionally and personally.

To make matters worse, she’s also in the middle of moving homes in San Diego and had signed a lease on a local storage unit ($300/mo) to house the majority of her belongings a few weeks prior to the debacle. She is now rebuilding everything from scratch, including replacing her 10-years-worth-of-*lossless*-files music library (even the backup on an external hard drive is corrupted).

Without the ability to work, the financial strain has been overwhelming, and she’s facing mounting expenses while trying to regain control of her life.

Torie has always been someone who would go above and beyond for those she loves, and now she needs our help. She’s the type of person who rarely asks for assistance (yes, we can all laugh at how stubborn she is and knows it) – so we’re rallying together to support her through this tough time.

The funds raised will go towards an array of costs that include, only to name a few:

- Replacing her Macbook Pro (~$2500) and iPhone 14 Max Pro (~$900)

- Recovering / replacing her entire music collection (*this is arguably her biggest expense, with a library of roughly 20k+ files. An estimated total of how much she has spent over her decade-long artist career on music comes out to... a ballpark of somewhere around $30,000 spent on music files alone**)

- Software re-purchasing and new subscriptions for all of her work systems needed to run her marketing jobs & music programs; they were previously tied to her old iCloud account (~$1500)

- New external hard drives for file backups … and backups-to-the-backups, naturally. ($700 for 2x 5TB drives)

- Lost hours on client projects

- Ensuring she can get back on her feet as quickly as possible
