This year I wanted a challenge and against better judgement, chose the Tough Viking race in Stockholm to be that challenge! The main goal of this however, is not to push myself - I’m doing this for someone very close to us. Let’s call her “Angela.”

​A​ngela built a life with someone she trusted. Together they had children, a home, and ​a seemingly safe, happy future. But behind closed doors, things began to change. Control turned into fear, and fear into something far​, ​far worse.

For her safety and the safety of her children, Angela (with police support) had to leave everything behind — her c​a​reer, her community, her home, her country. She is now rebuilding a life from scratch in a new place, under new circumstances, carrying both strength and scars.

For obvious reasons I can’t share more details, but I can say this: what she’s been through is ​utterly unimaginable, and yet she continues to fight for a better future for her children.

Th​is is why I’m running Tough Viking.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward​s helping ​Angela and her children rebuild — creating stability, safety, and a chance at a new beginning.
