Tough People Outlast Tough Times: COE EmPOWER Campaign

My name is Albree Weisen, and I am the chair of the UD graduate student organization EmPOWER: Empathetic Peers Offering Wisdom, Encouragement, and Resources.

On August 13th, 2024, Southgate Apartments were struck by a devastating 3-alarm fire. Eight of our University of Delaware graduate student peers from the College of Engineering were directly affected by this tragedy.

EmPOWER has started this GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds, which will be directly and equally distributed amongst the college of engineering graduate students who are impacted, to help with the costs of securing housing (i.e., security deposit, first month's rent, additional housing fees).
