Dear family and friends! With my senior year about to begin in full swing, I want to be prepared as much as possible before applying to PT school. Fortunately for me, I have found the perfect opportunity in Toucan Abroad!
What is Toucan Abroad you ask? Toucan Abroad is a study abroad program that offers pre-PT students an awesome way to meet their required hours for their applications while also providing them with an in-depth experience of the cultures of Latin America. The program seeks to deepen its students' cultural awareness and develop them as human beings. I believe this will be a great opportunity for me to grow culturally while also exploring my passion for pursuing physical therapy.
Our fundraising goal is to reach between $3500-$4000 by November 30th. The majority of the funds will be allocated towards the program cost ($2,995) and plane ticket ($850). The program cost covers:
• Support for our Partnered Clinics
• Airport Transportation
• Private Housing for all Students
• Daily Breakfast and Planned Group Meals
• Travel Health Insurance
• Orientation Packages
• Group Excursion Transportation within Costa Rica
• Group Excursion Costs (entry fees, lessons, tours, etc.)
• Support from the Toucan Abroad staff
