My Friend Totoro

Hello Friends, Betty here. This is a fundraiser for my cat companion, Totoro.

 

Totoro has a history of urinary tract issues, which have recently resulted in some large vet bills spanning multiple vets over the last week and a half. If you happen to know about urinary tract issues in male cats, you know that these situations can often be urgent and life-threatening.

 

The most recent development is a recommendation for Perineal Urethrostomy surgery. This recommendation came after multiple occurrences of urethral obstruction, which is, again, urgent and life-threatening. Up to this point, I've spent close to $2000 on vet bills and related supplies. The surgery will cost an additional $4000-5000. These expenses are rapidly sending me into debt and have become unmanageable. When I left my local vet yesterday to drive to the emergency vet in Albuquerque, I was told that Totoro would get sicker and die if I did nothing.

 

I adopted Totoro nearly ten years ago, and if you've known me since then, you've likely known Totoro too. He's not only my cat but a very dear friend. It means a lot to both of us to have the support.
