Toth Road Ahead for Our Friend Dave
2020 has been a hell of a year for all of us and became even more challenging for our good friend Dave. Last month, what started as “just another day” hanging with friends, took an abrupt turn for the worse. The result of a fluke accident while diving into the pool, Dave suffered serious injuries, fracturing multiple vertebrae and tearing ligaments in his neck. We’re extremely grateful to report that Dave doesn’t appear to have suffered any permanent damage and while he has a long road ahead, all signs point to a full recovery.
After a 4 day hospital stay, Dave has been recovering at home with the family. The hospital stay was preceded by an ambulance ride and anyone that’s been through the experience can attest to how expensive both can be...even with health insurance. Adding this on top of a pandemic that has impacted Dave’s business makes an already challenging situation even tougher.
Whether a Christmas party, playoff hockey, or Canada Day celebration, we’ve all shared some great times at Stout over the years. In that spirit, we are hoping to assist a fellow friend, hockey comrade, and local businessman bounce back from an unfortunate situation during unforgiving times. Any amount will go a long way towards paying down medical bills/rehab expenses and helping Dawn and the kids while short-handed. Also realize this is a tough time for many of us so even if you can't contribute monetarily, sure a simple check-in would mean a lot to Dave and fam.
Thanks in advance and look forward to toasting a beer to Dave’s full recovery in the near future.
Cheers
