We are Matt and Deanna and we would like to offer encouragement and support to our brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Cherry Stanfill, who lost everything in the Gray Fire in Medical Lake, WA on Aug 18, 2023. Joe and Cherry were among the many who lost everything in the fire. The house, shop, vehicles, and heirlooms were all lost. They each managed to get a small suitcase, the cat, and two cars out before the flames jumped Silver Lake road and destroyed their property. Joe said that he could see 60 foot flames climbing the neighbors trees as they drove away. They never imagined not having a home to return to.

Joe and Cherry have been in contact with their insurance company and are working through that process but in the meantime we know that there will be many items not covered and incidentals needed while they regroup and put their life back together. Clothing/shoes/personal items/meals/bedding/technology/housing/etc.

We are hoping to raise funds to assist with the immediate everyday needs and to replace items that insurance won’t cover. Joe also lost all of his video production equipment which has been one source of income for them.

Many friends and family have called to offer help and have asked how they can support them through this time.
