Trinity was discovered lying in the road beneath a roadway overpass in Tennesee by a family returning to Sesser, Illinois. Vehicles were slowing down to look at her, but no one stopped until they did.
All four legs appear to be fractured and she is currently being housed in the good samaritans garage as they didn't know what to do with her once they arrived home. They were told by the local vet it would cost a $600 deposit just to look at her as the photos indicate broken limbs and told to bring her in to put her down. They couldn't afford the down payment and didn't have the heart to take her life so instead made her as comfortable as they could in their garage.
In a cry for help, the wife reached out to Instagram star Pudge's and asked for his mom's advice. In turn, we were contacted and asked to help in any way possible. You don't say no to Pudge and after 5 calls to ER's in S. Illinois and being turned away, she is being transported to our vet Monday morning, May 21st.
Trinity will be stabilized at our vet and then will make a trip to the orthopedic surgeon to determine the prognosis for her legs. We are keeping a positive outlook that there are no internal injuries.
The family is guesstimating she is 3 or 4 months old by his body size. We will have more details to share after our vet completes her physical and x-rays. We will update as soon as we know more.
Thank you and please keep her in your prayers. Your donations are greatly appreciated as without your support we could not provide the life saving and changing work we do for the love of a dog.
Trinity is the third medically challenging case we have taken on in the last couple of months. I truly wish we didn't have to, but as long as man will commit these atrocities on animals, we will be there to fight the good fight and provide the very best to them in our care.
If you would be interested in fostering or fostering to adopt Trinity, please complete an application at www.k9ei.dog. She will begin her search once the doctors determine she is out of the woods and ready for a new life.
