GOOD NEWS!

12 more radiation treatments and one more chemo!

UCHealth is handling my cancer treatment. Right now they said 7 weeks of radiation with a chemo in the middle of the course and one in the final weeks. That is 35 radiation treatments since doctors and cancer take weekends off. There will be, I'm sure, still medical costs and miscellaneous unanticipated expenses. AND....I am still planning on writing off onto the sunset!

Nothing dramatic or heroic here

I'm battling cancer. I need your help!

I retired at 70. retiring so I could take off on my great adventure....

For years now, I have been figuring out in my mind's eye a way to build a motorized e-trailer for my e-bike. The trailer would carry solar panels and a set of inverters. And, a limited amount of camping gear, clothes, water etc. EXTREMELY LIMITED AMOUNT!

I was certain it was going to work....

But then I got a chicken bone splinter caught in my throat. It got to hurting so bad I couldn't concentrate on my trailer build. (I just had to re-attach the motor; hook it to the e-bike and go for the final test run before riding off into the sunset)

Turns out it wasn't a chicken bone....

Cancer....

Once I got on the road I could figure out some way to cash in on social media. You know build up a following and have people throw money in the hat ....like some street artist on the 16th street mall.

You know some sort of glorified high tech panhandler.

I thought I could make it without Social Security. I was feeling great.... who needs Medicare!

well, it turns out I was supposed to sign up for Medicare at 65.... ooops!

Turns out cancer is an expensive disease to fight.... ooops!

So, February 1st my Medicare (part A and B) and my supplemental insurance UnitedHealthcare are all in force.

Rocky Mountain Cancer Center will see me February 8, but UCHealth will see me January 31st... tomorrow. SO I will update tomorrow evening.

I still need prayers and financial support for medical costs I will be incurring and, of course, a nice kickoff on my e-bike journey WRITING OFF INTO THE SUNSET

I am learning patience... that's the good news.
