Tosha's medical and final expenses
Donation protected
As many of you know, our Tosha, who is 43 years old was diagnosed with uterine cancer a few months ago following a hysterectomy. When the uterus was sent to pathology, it was discovered to be cancerous. Shortly after that scans were done to see the progression of the cancer. The scans indicated the cancer was already at a stage 4. The cancer had already metastasized to her liver, peritonium and omentum. Peritoneal carcinomatosis means the cancer had metastasized to the linings of the abdominal cavity and organs. Tosha underwent three rounds of chemo, followed by a new scan a couple of weeks ago. The scans revealed the chemo didn't prove to be successful, and in fact the cancer had worsened. Not the news we wanted. Tosha has since met with her oncologist to decide how to move forward. She will start immunotherapy this week, as well as a pill form of chemo. A referral has also been made with MD Anderson in Houston. Her first appointment in Houston will be March 29. Tosha is being faced with all of these challenges, as well as the financial burden. She does have insurance, which is a blessing but there are a lot of co-pays and deductibles to be met. Many trips to Baylor Dallas, and now the cost of hotels, food, and gas for her trips to MD Anderson is placing a huge burden on finances. I asked Tosha if I could set up a go-fund me to help take some of this stress away from her so she can focus on her treatments. She also has a few items on her bucket list she'd like to do. ANY donations would be much appreciated. We know times are uncertain and money is tight for so many. So even if you can't donate, sharing this and prayers are also very welcomed!
