Torsten - Spinal Cord Injury - #TOGETHERFORTORSTEN

INJURY

Torsten's spinal cord on a level C5-C6 was compressed for around 3 hours after a tragic car accident around Ravensthorpe, Western Australia in March 2021. This resulted in loss of motor and sensory functions from his nipple line down. His lung muscles were also affected and for now he is not able to breathe on his own yet.

He has been a patient at a Intensive Care Unit in Royal Perth Hospital for 1,5 months now, trying to wean off the ventilator.

He  is progressing slowly and he is awaiting a long recovery, that will take several months.

To reach his goal he will need help from recently developed technology : Cyberdyne Medical Exoskeleton that will help him during physical rehabilitation. Hybrid Assistive Limb is different than other exoskeletons, because it is using the patients own nervous system to initiate robotic movements.

It will be great if you support this amazing human being making his own steps on this planet.
