****12/15 UPDATE****
Happy Holidays!
The last month and a half have been a doozy. I've had my stitches and external pins removed and currently making progress on my mobility. For my doctor's reports, my ring finger and pinky are healing great, however my middle finger is healing slower due to the place meant on the screws and swelling.
I am still doing PT 3 times a week and will continue doing so into the next year. Right now, the majority of my medical bills are pay with the exception of about $900 of uncovered fees from my insurance. With the beginning of the year coming, I would appreciate any extra help!
Thanks,
Torrie

****10/22 UPDATE****
Tuesday's surgery was a success. Once the surgeon began, he quickly realized the damage was more extensive than the x-rays showed. What was supposed to be a 2-hour surgery ended up taking over 6 hours. They had to reconstruct my middle and ring finger, with 11 screws and 2 pins in my pinky finger.
Now, the hard work begins....physical therapy! I'm looking at 3 times a week for 8 weeks.
Thanks again for all the love and support!

Hello everyone,
I'm Torrie O'neil, some of you may know me through the Jiu Jitsu scene; others from my school days, family, or friends.
On October 7th, I was in a car crash with a semi-truck, causing multiple injuries, the most serious of which being 3 broken fingers. The injuries to my hand require surgery which will take place on October 19. Altogether, I will be in recovery from 3 - 4 months, while also recovering from an MCL tear.
During COVID, I made the switch to pursuing Jiu Jitsu as a career, using up a lot of my savings to invest in my business, The Mighty Dames. Any and all money donated will be used to help me during this recovery time, chiefly assisting with medical bills.
I want to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and well wishes. This will be a long journey, but thankfully I have an amazing support system to help me through it.
Torrie
