On March 26th, my sister Torrie Norman went to the hospital with excruciating back pain. Xrays were taken and showed she had a back sprain. She was prescribed pain medication and a lidocaine patch and was about to be sent home. Something in Torrie's heart told her the pain she was experiencing wasn't normal. She pleaded with the staff to take another look and a ct scan was ordered. After the test returned, doctor's informed her they believed she had mutiple myeloma (blood cancer) but further tests would need to happen to confirm. She was immediately admitted.

March 31st- a endoscopy was performed to cauterize a bleeding ulcer.
April 1st -Torrie was offically diagnosed with a rare form of Stage 4 Stomach Cancer that had metastasized, meaning it has spread from its original source to other parts of her body, including her pancreas and her lower spine.
As Torrie embarks on this journey, help is needed more than ever. Torrie is a loving, single mom to a bright 13 year old. We are asking for support to offset cost of treatment, medicine, living expenses and to relocate her and her daughter from Tennessee to the Chicagoland Area to be closer to family. Her hospital stay mentioned above resulted in a bill of $300,000.Her scheduled chemo treatments are $30,000 out pocket with existing insurance. Torrie is one of the most genuine, kind-hearted, and strong willed person I know. She's overcome so much in life and continues to fight for tomorrow.
Please also send prayers, uplifting stories, wellness tips, and positive energy.
