Torquay community elite gym

The gym was set up in 2007 with just two punch bags on top of a pub in kingskerswell in a small room and on average around 25 people would train in there it has grown and grown all down to the community support behind it which has and always will be amazing as many of you know the gym helps everyone regardless from people just out of prison, people with learning disabilities people with no confidence everyone is welcome and currently have a team of boxers with 20 currently carded. Torquay Elite Community gym has been not only a great place to the growing community in boxing but the local community aswell. A community gym that cares about its members and doesn't seek to profit but to help those that need it most! But now covid-19 has hit, the gym has been force to close, something that will hit the gym hard financial. We are not here to ask for loads but just enough to be able to get by so that our wonderful community gym isnt shut for good as bills still have to be covered. The community gym offers so much to the community, and would be a great loss to the torquay area. Boxing classes for the young and old inspiring future sportsman in boxing! The community gym charges very little for membership and classes, just enough to cover the Bill's as to keep the gym available to those who most need it and benefit from it. The junior classes run by thier volunteers to provide a safe haven for children and teenagers from bullying, somewhere to build their confidence and teach them a great sport and to encourage a healthy life. A space where the community can get fit, box and train. Mixed boxing classes and junior classes for inspiring boxers. A gym and volunteers who put thier own money into funding travel to boxing show and kits for their young boxers. Somewhere that's not only a community but a family, somewhere you can go and talk openly about you troubles and get the support from fellow members and not be judged. A gym and its volunteers that continues to try to help even after closing it doors to the community during covid-19. Continues to rally round and do it bit to help others, collecting donations for thier food bank, delivering food parcel to locals who are vulnerable, elderly or isolated. It would be such a great loss for our community gym not to reopen after the covid-19 crisis, so we are asking and hoping for your help. Please help save the torquay elite community gym any donation big or small will be a massive help xxx
