Hi all, my name is Monika, and I am fundraising for my beloved 5 year old pitsky pup, Toro, who recently developed a tear in his cruciate ligament (ACL). Despite keeping him as inactive as possible for over a month after the initial discovery of a limp, his first day back hiking with his pack resulted in a full tear that left him unable to put any weight whatsoever on his rear left leg. After visiting several different vets, it was determined that he would have to have surgery to fix his knee...and then to add insult to injury, the diagnosis upon exam has been that his other knee will likely give out as well in the somewhat near future (multiple vets, all the same diagnosis).

With that said, I'll likely be looking at over $10,000 total, for both knees. But being that we only have to do one at this time, I am only fundraising for this first surgery, hoping that MAYBE we'll get lucky and the second won't give out. The current bill is a rough total of $5,400, but I rounded up to $6,000 to account for fees, and additional things like medications/slings/therapies/etc.

He went in for surgery today: 8/16/21, and payment is due in full this Thursday, 8/19/21.

I very much appreciate if anyone can help! Any and all funds raised will go directly to Toro's needs, and I am happy to provide receipts. IF there is any extra left over, it will go towards either:

A) a savings fund for Toro's other knee

B) Nero's needs (Toro's kitty brother)

or lastly,

C) potentially an animal-related charity, as I do not intend to keep a single penny for my own use.
