Tornado Survivor Nic Needs Your Help

Hi, my name is Nic, and I’m a tornado survivor from St. Louis City.

On May 16, 2025, an EF3 tornado tore through our neighborhood, Kingshighway East, leaving a path of devastation. My home was hit directly. I was inside when it happened.

There were no sirens, only emergency text alerts. I barely made it to the basement as debris flew all around me. I still remember the sound of everything crashing down.

Thankfully, my baby sister and nephew, who live with me, weren’t home at the time. But the home we were building together, filled with memories and milestones, has been left structurally compromised.

Do I have insurance? Yes, however, it only covers a portion of the damage. The cost to rebuild far exceeds what insurance will pay, and I’ve been left displaced and struggling to recover from the financial and emotional toll of losing everything so suddenly.

I’m doing everything I can to move forward, but I'm unable to do it alone. I’m asking for your support to help rebuild what was lost and to bring stability back to our lives.
