My name is Eva. I am the owner of Kneads of Balance in Sheldon, ND. On June 20th, 2025, our small town of Sheldon, the surrounding area, and the town of Enderlin were hit hard by a severe storm that produced a deadly tornado. As of now, 10+ farmsteads have been hit/wiped out, and there are 3 confirmed deaths. This has heavily affected our community as it is friends, neighbors, and family. If you know anything about a small community, you know how this deeply affects those that weren't even hit. And again, if you know anything about a small community, you know just how many helping hands there are for these families. However, helping hands don't help with the financial burden these people have with now having no home, family members that now have to plan funerals, missing or killed livestock, ripped-up crops, and so on.

As a business, I figured I have the outreach of family, friends, and clients that could make a big difference in this community! I know how tight budgets are these days, but even if everyone could donate $1-10, it would make a huge impact!

Our farm was just south of this tornado by about 2 miles. So it really makes a person think of who and what is important in their lives and just how grateful you are! With that being said, some of those affected are my clients, and I am grateful that they are a part of my life, and I just want to do what I can to help them!

Also, the local bar in Sheldon (Off The Rails) has welcomed people to drop off donations during their business hours. Could be monetary, gift cards, cases of water, etc.

I, Eva Bouman, will be taking all donations into the GoFundMe and transferring them to the account that has been set up Bank North. I am part of a 12 person committee that will be distributing the funds to those families that were affected by the tornados. All funds will be used for these families to purchase their personal needs, rent for a new location while their homes are being repaired, or to use to rebuild anything necessary.

The application process is currently open and will close Aug 15th. As a committee, we will go through the applications on August 18th and group them in 3 categories (damage to home, damage to out buildings, and other). From there all funds that have been raised will be divided and checks written to those affected accordingly.
