On February 14, 2026, our lives were turned upside down when a tornado tore through our area. The storm caused severe damage to our deck, roof, HVAC system, plumbing, and most urgently, our sewer. Right now, the sewer is draining under our mobile home, creating an unsafe and overwhelming situation for us. We do have insurance, but the process is slow and complicated. The funds are tied up with our mortgage company, and we haven’t even received the check yet. We’re looking at several weeks before any money is released, and in the meantime, we have no way to pay for repairs or to relocate. It’s just myself, my fiancé, and our dog. We are not young anymore, and I am disabled, which makes this even harder to manage. We have always tried to handle things on our own, but this time, we simply can’t. We know that finances are tight for everyone right now, and asking for help is out of the norm for us. But we are truly desperate. Any help we receive will go directly toward repairing our sewer and making our home safe again. Words cannot express how grateful we would be for any support. This process is long and hard, and to be completely honest, we don’t really see any light at the end of the tunnel right now. I am on bended knee, praying that maybe someone can help us.
