Tornado Recovery For Emma & Caitlin

Donation protected
On December 11, 2021 Emma texted me at at 1:13am to check on me regarding the tornado warnings that we were having. Just 8 minutes later, the tornado would reach her neighborhood and run havoc. After the tornado passed, we immediately rushed to her aid to get her and her partner Caitlin to safety. She had stated that the entire top floor was gone and they only thing that saved them was the bathroom they had locked themselves in. Though we only live 10 minutes apart, it took over an hour to get to her due to roads being blocked by trees, light poles, debris, and electrical wires, and walking a short distance due to not being able to get any closer. Joseph ended up staying behind for hours to continue to help people who were trapped in their homes.

Emma and Caitlin both work in public service. Emma works at BRASS, the local domestic violence shelter, while Caitlin works at Kentucky Legal Aid. They both do and give so much for their clients. It is now our turn to rally behind them and help them rebuild their lives . These funds will go directly to them and be used for essentials as well as to find a new place they can call home. Please keep Emma, Caitlin, and the rest of Bowling Green in your prayers.

I have known Emma for over a year. She is my coworker at BRASS and have grown close since meeting. I plan to withdraw this money and hand deliver a check to her and Caitlin. They will use this money for any necessities in rebuilding their lives together.
