Tornado Damages Home: Family Needs Help
Donation protected
I’m trying to raise funds for my 27-year-old daughter, my 3-year-old granddaughter, my 7-year-old grandson, and my son-in-law. The reason is because they live in Rome, GA, and on 5/1/2025, the neighborhood that they live in, Celanese, was hit by a tornado. When it hit their home, a tree in the front yard broke in half and fell on the roof of the house, barely missing my 7-year-old grandson. He had scratches and bruises on his little body, plus it had torn a hole in his t-shirt in the back. They came to my house, and what really broke my heart is he was limping towards me as he got out of the car and tried to run to me when they finally got to where I live. The firefighters and police said that if his dad had not grabbed him when he did, my grandbaby would be dead right now. I am sorry that this is so long, but I wanted whoever reads this to know everything that happened. I am devastated just at the mere thought of losing my family. They’ve never been through anything like this. I was on the phone with my daughter when the tornado hit, and she started screaming. Then, when I heard my grandchildren screaming in so much terror, I felt so helpless because I’m 45 minutes away from where they live. They are safe and with me tonight. Unfortunately the house did not have insurance and they need all the help they can get I’m just grateful to the Lord that they are safe and okay. Asking for help, especially when you need it, is a hard thing to do, but sometimes life doesn’t give you any other choice. Again, I am extremely grateful to Jesus that they are here and safe because it could’ve been so much worse. Whoever is reading this right now, please, I ask that you pray for them, and if you can, please donate. I will post pictures later when she wakes up; they were beyond exhausted when they got here last night. Thank you for your prayers, your compassion, and your kindness ✝️✝️
