Hello, I'm Natasha, Torie's mommy and Sophia's gigi. As many of you know, Torie was pregnant with our beautiful Sophia and was due in January. At Torie's anatomy scan, they discovered she had an incompetent cervix and was already dilated to a 3 at 20 weeks. She had a double cerclage put in and was on bedrest until she woke up 2 weeks later to blood. We took her to the ER, and they admitted her, noticing that she was again dilated to 3 cm. Torie stayed in the hospital for 1 more week until Sophia decided to make her entrance into this world on Sept 29th, weighing 1 pound 4.5 ounces. This was a traumatic experience for Torie as well. Sophia is 1 week old today and in the NICU at OSU. Torie hasn't left her bedside. I'm just asking for anyone to help her financially as she can't work right now and is in the hospital with lil miss Sophia. Any words of encouragement for her are also welcome. Any amount of money will help with Tories stay at nicu ..

Oct. 8th. Just a lil update

They tried to take sophia off the vent it last for 30 mins before they had to revent her. They also put in a pic line that has moved so they ended up having to put in anthor one.. other than that she is doing ok. Seems to be keeping oxygen level good with this new vent . Torie still has not left her side and is struggling with feeling guilt. The nicu doesnt provide her any support because they are for the babies only. So any words of encouragement are a blessing and any amount of money goes along way. Things are expensive in a hospital. We appreciate the support and we love you all

Update 10/13

Lil miss Sophia is 2 weeks today. Since the last up date they discovered she has a large pda in heart so her blood is flowing into her lungs. Thet reassured us this is normal for very premature babies. It could possibly close by itself , there are other options Torie has decided to wait it out to see with possible iv medication that can help. Shes has such a orinaey and sweet personality already. Torie still hasn't left her room. Tories strength is beautiful. We appreciate those that have blessed her, those who will and those who cant. We love you all thank you.

Our lil miss Sophia is 3 weeks old today. The iv medicine is helping shrink the large pda. Shes still on ventilator but thriving. Shes opened both eyes and is smiling at mommy. We appreciate all your love and support during this time.. sophia is so precious
