Torianna goes to Senegal!

Hi, my name is Torianna and I am a graduating senior at SUNY Geneseo. I study childhood special education and Spanish in hopes to soon become a bilingual special educator in a city school district. I have been awarded a research grant to travel to Senegal for a month in May 2024. I will essentially rewrite the biased and non-comprehensive New York State social studies standards by comparing what life and education is actually like in an African nation. This research grant will cover some costs such as the tuition cost and program differential but not everything will be financially handled, and I am still looking for support to cover the extra expenses.
