I am so excited to publically announce that I plan to go to Thailand for 1-2 months this summer. The Lord has clearly ordained this trip and I am so excited about it. It has been a long process of prayer and consideration but I have decided to act in obedience to His will for me.

Pattaya City is the unofficial Sex Tourism Capital of the world. I will be living in Pattaya beginning in July and volunteering at the Tamar Center during my time there. YWAM partners with this organization to bring hope and healing to women in the area. More than 6 million tourists visit Pattaya each year, with the majority coming to enjoy the nightlife of the city. Tamar Center was started in 1999 with the vision of helping the more than 35,000 women that are trapped in the sex industry in Pattaya.

English is taught to the women in the outreach center and there is also a hair salon there to build further relationships with them. Housing (for any children they may have too) and vocational training are offered there.

Bar outreach also takes place multiple times weekly with the organization, so I will have the oppotunity to love on women working in the city as well.

I am not going with a group, I will be traveling and possibly living alone. I will, however, be working alongside English-speakers at the Tamar Center.

With this exciting news comes a very heavy financial burden. A Passport, plane tickets, living arrangements and food/transportation while I'm there are all needed expenses. I trust in the Lord's faithful provision and know He will provide what is needed for this trip. I want to ask you to please consider donating any money you would be willing to this.

I will need to buy my plane ticket by April of 2017 and prepare living arrangements for when I arrive. My goal is slightly terrifying but God doesn't stop what He starts.
