Dear Friend, 

As you know, Torei Zahav is working tirelessly to launch our building project and create a thriving and inclusive Makom Torah u'Tefillah. One of the hallmarks of our Shul is the warmth and friendliness of our environment, and one unique individual who appreciated that varemkeit and contributed to it immeasurably was Shmuel Klein, A''H.  Shmuel visited for Shabbos frequently. He forged a close relationship with Rabbi Twerski and the Chevra in Shul, sharing Yomim Tovim and Simchas with us and spreading joy with his contagious smile. 

Shmuel loved our Shul because he had a passion for people and for life. These traits were reflected in his love for golf. 
 
As a tribute to Shmuel's memory, we are excited to announce Torei Zahav's Inaugural Shmuel Klein A’’H Memorial Golf Tournament. Shmuel truly would love to have witnessed the Shul’s expansion. By participating in this tournament, you are helping carry out Shmuel’s vision. 

Be’ezras Hashem on Thursday, August 25th, our Kehilla will be hitting the links to enjoy a beautiful day of golf, BBQ dinner, open bar, live music, and more. The tournament will take place at the Inness Golf Club in Accord, NY. Wedged between the majestic Catskill and Mohonk Mountain ranges, Inness is a wide-open, inland links-style  nine hole golf course with expansive property and mountain views. Golf clubs (LH/RH), balls, and additional swag will be provided. 

All proceeds from this tournament will be donated to the Torei Zahav Building Fund. We are asking for a fundraising minimum of: 

$1,500 includes golf tournament and dinner reception (includes a +1)
$500 includes dinner reception only

*A fundraising web page/link will be provided to fundraise effectively. 

The Tournament will start at 4:00 PM. BBQ Dinner and awards ceremony will be held at 7:00 PM. If you are interested in joining a group or bringing your own, or just coming for the dinner, please contact us at [phone redacted].
