Sam's Top Surgery
Donation protected
Sam is getting top surgery! This procedure will help them feel comfortable in their body and also decrease their chances of getting cancer. It has been a long time coming – they first made attempts to receive surgery when they were 19 years old. When their dad passed away from pancreatic cancer, Sam found out that they, too, have a mutation in their BRCA gene. This means they are at higher risk for certain types of cancer, such as breast and ovarian. Top surgery will improve their physical and mental health, as well as their quality of life – for now and the foreseeable future!!!
Raised in Warwick, they have been an active member of the art and music community in Providence since they were a teenager. Over the years they have performed in multiple music projects as well as attended and hosted endless artist events and shows. They are currently the lead guitarist in the collaborative music project babybaby_explores.
They have supported the community and artists in so many ways and while having this surgery will bring about positive change, they won’t be able to work or play music for some time.
Sam works so hard and needs to be able to take the time to recover!!! By donating you will help pay for the surgery and enable them to adequately care for themselves during their recovery. All funds will go toward the surgery, supplies, food, and care.
Thank ya’ll so much and BEFORE WE FORGET there is going to be a benefit show for Sam at Machines with Magnets on October 28!!!!!! It's a Halloween cover show, there will be amazing performances and art for sale and it will be so fun ~See you there !!!!!!!
