TOPOS: Mexico's Earthquake Rescuers

Hello! My name is Julieta Gilbert. I am a Mexican and an American Citizen living in Los Angeles. I am creating this GoFundMe account to facilitate donations for people that don’t live in Mexico and/or don’t speak Spanish. The reason for it is to create awareness and raise funds to help the victims and people in need in Mexico City. 

More than 200 people are dead after a magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocked central Mexico on Tuesday afternoon. Yesterday's earthquake caused extensive damage, leveling at least 44 buildings (including homes, schools and office buildings).

I am working on this fundraiser along with Topo Arturo Acuña and all of the proceedings of this campaign will be donated to the Brigada de Topos de Tlatelolco AC Delegación Cancún (The Moles Brigade of Tlateloco Cancún Responders).

The Topos (Moles) are a professional, non-profit Mexican first responder rescue brigade. Their specialty is searching for victims under the debris of collapsed buildings and giving first aid.
