Topher Gomez’s road to a new liver
Donation protected
Topher’s symptoms started at age 13. He was diagnosed at 14 with Ulcerative Colitis and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)—a liver disease that affects the bile ducts. He has never let this stop him. Topher is tough, caring, strong, relentless giving, athletic, fun, a protector, a great brother, son and uncle, he is loyal, a hard worker, and the strongest person. We always knew one day he would need a liver transplant, but found out earlier this year it would be much sooner than anticipated. He will be receiving his life saving miracle in September. This is definitely a blessing that we have all been praying for. Now the hard part, we need help with the financial stress that comes with something like this. Any donation will go towards uncovered medical expenses, loss of wages for Topher and his living donor, and any transportation expenses that may occur. If you cannot donate, don’t feel guilty! We appreciate all prayer and emotional support as well. We encourage increasing awareness and education surrounding organ donation and if comfortable, consider becoming an organ donor as well! Thanks for your love and support
