Top Surgery for Nelsy

Okay so this is happening now! From consultations to Psychiatrists to alot of waiting time to get an appointment with a surgeon (which was then cancelled due to covid) to finally getting a date for Top Surgery!

I was expecting to get this surgery in April but they have managed to squeeze me in as soon as January and I basically just couldn't say no, hence why I'm asking for help. I was pretty adamant that I wanted to fund all of this myself but with a date so soon, its highly unlikely I will be able to. I was also told my surgery would be a lengthy one meaning I will have to pay alot more than initially thought. Goodie!

Although this all feels like its come around very quickly, this has been a very long time coming. From very early on, pre puberty, I felt and lived like a cool confident boy. I didn't know what that meant and I didn't question it because I was just being me. From secondary school till only a few years ago that all got suppressed. When I first heard the word 'trans' and saw a trans person living their best life I didn't think it applied to me anymore and thought that if I was trans, then I would have done something about it already.

'Im not trans enough' was my mindset mixed with constant fear made it hard to accept myself let alone think that other people would accept me.

Asking for help to fund this surgery feels a little odd I guess as its my personal journey and no one else's but by doing this and talking about my experience helps to accept my transness even if it is at the young age of 35! If you can help then it will be very much appreciated and if not then that's also totally fine. Its a very weird world still but I will try and reach my mark if I can.
