Top Surgery for Mischief's Gender Affirming Care

Hi, my name is Mischief. I am a transgender man, (he/him) and I'm reaching out for some help with my top surgery. I have a scheduled Bilateral Breast Tops procedure (with liposuction and nipple graft) for August 14th, 2023 with a Board Certified Surgeon that I trust. I have been completing therapy sessions to affirm that this is the right course of action for me, and unforunately, I am not able to cover all of the financial burden myself. So I wanted to reach out to the internet for some support if anyone is able to give.

I am originally from south Florida, and still live in the American south. With the way some of the country is right now, I don't want to wait anymore to seek out the care I need to survive. It's hard for me to put into words how important this surgery is to me. The dysmorphia I experience has gotten so bad that I cannot complete basic tasks or hide the pain any longer. And with legislation targetting transgender individuals more than ever, I do not want to wait any longer before this avenue is closed to me.

Currently, the surgery will cost me $10,037. I have included this my goal, along with the wages I will miss during my projected recover time. Ideally, I would love to have at least $4,000 dollars raised before the surgery date, as this is the out of pocket cost needed up front to even have the procedure done. I plan to put the rest of the $6,037 on a payment plan being offered through CareCredit, which is also included in my goal to help with that over time. I have already started saving up whatever extra funds I have to offset the cost of recovery for a month, using whatever is left in my packchecks and Ko-Fi funds from supporters who have generously donated already. I decided to start the GoFundMe since the surgery date is set.

If you are able to help, I would absolutely grateful. I cannot express how important this procedure is to me. It is literally to improve my health and save my life.

If I am lucky enough to exceed my goal, those funds will be used for further medically necessary surgeries in the future (I suffer from PCOS and Endomitriosis and will need to tackle that down the road).
