We're raising funds for Aiden, a beloved member of Asheville's queer community who needs our support to receive gender-affirming care.

After waiting nearly a year for their top surgery consultation, Aiden was surprised to receive a short-notice opportunity to make their dream a reality! As exciting as this news is, it leaves Aiden with only one month to prepare, and their insurance coverage left them with several thousand dollars to pay out of pocket.

While we would love to raise enough to cover Aiden's surgery and recovery entirely, the immediate need is to help Aiden cover their down payment of $1,600, which is due on November 10. (That's just a week from the creation of this fundraiser!) If Aiden isn't able to pay for the down payment in time, their appointment will be cancelled and they will have to wait for another opportunity for this life changing care. Any donations beyond the initial $1,600 will go to the remaining medical fees, post-op appointments, and recovery costs.

This operation will bring Aiden a lifetime of gender euphoria and freedom, and they deserve to feel at peace in their body without the financial burden they currently face. They have shown up for their community time and time again, and they deserve every bit of support we can give them!
