Nate passed away unexpectantly July 27th of a suspected heart attack. A message from Nate's family:
Nate Hunt was one of the best people you’d ever meet. He had a passion for sports umpiring baseball and softball for 23 years. He loved kids and helping to give them the opportunity to play sports. To be a good umpire you have to be a good person, have good people skills, have good values and most importantly love what you do. Nate was just that and more. He was a giver, never asking for anything in return. He left a mark on many on and off the ballfield, from teaching, telling his stories, joking and just being a great friend. He will be incredibly missed by his family, Top Gun family and friends. This tragedy is truly one of the most heartbreaking, terrible things imaginable and we just want everyone who knew him to be able to remember him in the best way they can. He was always smiling and laughing and never taking life too seriously. He leaves behind a son and granddaughter that he loved unconditionally. He was never seen at the ballfield without his granddaughter right there with him. His son has graciously agreed to let me create this page to help raise money to ease the family's financial stress and burden during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will help with the funeral cost. Any donation and share of this page helps tremendously. Thank you all in advance. The softball world was the biggest part of Nate's life and where he spent every weekend. We know he will still be there watching over everyone and watching a lot of games from Heaven. ❤️
