Toots needs your help - & is recovering amazingly!

A MESSAGE FROM TOOTS:

On Monday, I began to suffer from vomiting and diarrhea. My mom took me to my veterinarian, but my symptoms got worse. There was a lot of blood, and I had two consecutive seizures. My mom rushed me to an ER hospital, and they took me to the back right away. As my mom waited in another room, the ER grief counselor came in to tell her that my heart had stopped. The ER doctor came in to ask my mom if they should continue CPR (which wasn't working) or stop trying to resuscitate me. I was clinically dead and it was unlikely I would come back. My mom told them to please keep trying. For several more minutes, they continued trying to revive me.  And then my heart started again.
Everyone was amazed, but my mom and I both knew that my time on this earth was not up. The ER doctor let my mom know that the next 48 hours were critical, because my heart could stop again, and this time for good. They were going to put me in the ICU and monitor me around the clock. They determined that I am suffering from hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE) of an unknown cause, which caused me to go into shock. That is why my heart stopped. While tests will be done to find out what caused the HGE, the immediate hope and focus is that my heart keeps beating.
They let my mom come and see me for a few minutes, which made us both so happy! 

I will be here for at least two days, as there is much that they need to do to help me. The estimate of the treatment is between $9,053.94 and $14,986.94. We’re hoping for some help from my beloved community. This is not an easy thing to ask, but this is an unexpected expense that will be a struggle for my mom. She cares for so many rescue dogs and your help would be greatly appreciated.
