Toot’s PU surgery for his urinary disease

Hi I’m the owner of Toot along with 2 other lovely healthy cats (coco and miso ‍‍⬛).

Toot was not born very lucky. Due to his genetics he has an abnormally narrow urethra which causes him to have severe urinary problems. At the age of 2, we already had to send him to the emergency twice because of blockage. Crystals forming in bladders are not always a main cause of concern for cats, but for some like Toot, even the smallest crystal can cause major issues in him that if left untreated, can easily kill him. We’re lucky that we’ve always caught on to his blockage early because of the way he acts when he’s sick which is so heartbreaking and scary.

Down the line, this is looking like a reoccurring problem that will cost a lot (around $4000 a visit to insert a catheter and treat him). We are probably going to do PU surgery on him to open up his urthera and hopefully have that be our permanent solution.

I would have never thought that I would be in this position creating a Gofundme for my own problems, but in life no one is spared. I’m a student paying for my own and my cats’ bills. I now understand how hard it is for anyone to ask for money but this is my last resort. Any cent or dollar will help, or even just words of advice if anyone else has been through the same struggle.
