Hello everyone! I'm hoping you are all having a fantastic day today!
I want to discuss my experience with cavities Because, in June 2025, I noticed some discomfort of an ongoing basis whenever I ate something sweet from the left side of my mouth. After enjoying sweets for many years, I began experiencing a constant level of pain for over two months! The last two months were a nightmare for my sleep, and on my worst nights, I would cry due to the extreme level of discomfort and would stop eating anything whether that’s sweets crispy or anything due to the pain.
I brush at least two times a day, sometimes three, but my pain was still not gone. I did use Sensodyne toothpaste, which helped some, but the discomfort would return from time to time.
I went to see an NHS dentist for an appointment, which cost around £27.50, and they gave me no help or advice regarding my pain level. It took me several visits to other dentists before I finally broke down and went to see a private dentist for the pain that I was suffering from. That's when the private dentist told me that I had cavities.
I ended up dealing with the pain for almost a year. Then about two weeks ago, the tooth with the cavity started breaking, and that’s when I knew I had to get it checked again privately. I honestly feel frustrated because I was told by the NHS dentist that I didn’t have cavities, only to later find out that I actually did.
At this point, I just want the tooth removed so I can finally be pain-free and stop the cavities from spreading to my other teeth. I wouldn’t wish this pain upon anyone. It’s the most scariest and uncomfortable thing ever. I just want to eat again.
I have a 0-Hour contract job. They barely give me any job if i’m lucky once a week and i really cannot afford £378 for a tooth removal. I just wanna be pain-free.
