Tools for Trees Forever Volunteers

Tools Stolen from Trees Forever During Pruning Season

Recently, our Trees Forever family was a victim of burglary. More than $1,500 worth of tools were stolen from our Des Moines field office. Hand saws, pruners, and safety vests were taken in an instant.

The tools were taken during a time of year when Trees Forever works with volunteers to prune and keep trees healthy and, instead, we are scrambling to acquire the tools we need to do our job!

These tools were used by our wonderful Trees Forever TreeKeeper volunteers to plant and care for community trees. While the loss of the tools is more than disheartening, it’s the setback to our volunteers who are eager to care for our trees that makes us really sad.

It is our hope that generous supporters can help make us whole again. New tools will ensure that we can get outside and get to work caring for the trees right away. Even a small donation will help us replace the tools that were stolen. With your support, Trees Forever TreeKeepers are ready to get outside, pruner in hand, to ensure our trees are happy and healthy!
