Toodaloo Ta-Tas: Maddie is having top surgery!

I'm honored to be raising funds on behalf of my incredible partner. Maddie is having top surgery on October 9th. We're looking for support from our community to get us across the finish line with raising funds for the surgery itself, as well as travel/hotel costs and supplies for recovery. Our goal is to raise $4,500 before the surgery date.

Here's a little note from Maddie on the significance of this procedure.

"For my next challenge in this amazing race we call life, I have decided to have top surgery! This procedure is more than a choice; it is a privilege and the ultimate way to honor myself by living authentically. Having top surgery is my opportunity to become the version of me where the outside matches the inside. It also forces me to face my biggest struggle, being seen. Being seen trying and being seen as my most vulnerable self. And getting to really see me for the first time too. My chest holds the weight of gendered expectations, male gazes, and the literal weight that causes my shoulders to slump forward in attempt to appear smaller in the room. Removing my chest will allow me the confidence to walk into a room where I’m not proceeded by my chest, but rather people are greeted with my smile or my eyes first. People won’t have to look down at my body to determine who they think I am, and I will have the scars to show that I am who I say I am. I wouldn’t have been able to allow myself to make this decision if it weren’t for my friends and family who have accepted me faster than I accepted myself.
