Hello, my name is Tony, and simply put, I have thyroid cancer. The type of tumor is known as 'papillary carcinoma'. The 'good news' is that it's highly treatable and there are a lot of good outcomes from a surgical procedure known as a total thyroidectomy. They remove my entire thyroid gland and I'll be taking thyroid hormone pills the rest of my life, but otherwise, everything should be more or less normal.

It's really awkward to ask anyone for help in this way, but after insurance, my bill is going to be $5,000 or more. Please don't feel pressured to contribute, but any amount is immensely appreciated.
