On behalf of the Barrios family we are writing to ask for your help. Our dear, sweet, kind, loving, husband, father, son, son in law, brother, brother in law, friend, Tony (Nuno) Barrios 52 years old, is currently at Methodist Hospital Rehabilitation after suffering a stroke.
On February 02, 2017 at around 8:00 pm during dinner Tony complained of blury vision on his left eye. Diana, his wife, thought nothing of it as they had recently been talking about purchasing reading glasses with more correction. After dinner they visited his mother and then called it a night. Everything appeared to be fine. At 11:00 pm Tony (Nuno) got in bed as Diana was in the bathroom washing up. When she came to get in bed Tony (Nuno) was already asleep. Within 15 minutes or so Diana felt Nuno grab her arm tightly and noticed his breathing was very heavy. She got out of bed, turned on the light and sees left side of his face droopy at which point realized he was having a stroke. They immediatley called for an ambulance and was taken to Doctors Hospital. CT scan showed nothing therefore advised they couldn’t do anything for him and would have to be flown to San Antonio. By 4:30 a.m Tony (Nuno) found himself at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Within 30 minutes of arriving he unfortunately had a more severe stroke. Sadly, it left the left side of his body immobile. Doctors are very optimistic he will have a full recovery. We believe in our Heavenly Father and HIS SON, JESUS, who is our Great Physician. We are confessing that he will be healed in the name of Jesus.
Tony and Diana have been blessed with 3 beautiful children, Louie, Amanda and Dennis. A beautiful daughter in law, Margie and a precious grandson Eli, born Feb. 3, 2017, precisely the day Tony (Nuno) suffered the stroke. He has not yet met his grandson but is very much looking forward to doing so. We will be praying that day will come very soon.
Tony (Nuno) has worked in the oilfied business for the past 25 years. He is currently employed at Lewis Energy Group while Diana is employeed at UISD. Tony and Diana are members St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where they are involved in the ACTS Community and The Choice Wine facilitators. Diana has been at Tony’s (Nuno’s) side and will continue to be his primary care giver as she has requested a leave of absense at work. Many friends have asked how they can help. Co-workers are already planning a fundraiser and we are hoping this GoFundMe page will also help ease their burdens.
