This is a journey of a man (Tony Michela) in his early 50’s who thought he had been free of cancer for about a year.
He studied music at Kellogg Community College, he played guitar, drums, ukulele and more. He use to be an avid disc golf player before the cancer and loves singing karaoke. He loves the city of Chicago where he and his family (at least once a year) had taken a train over from Michigan to enjoy a getaway.
Now…this family man, once again, is battling cancer that doctors say they had removed all of, just a year ago. Even 6 months later, after his chemo and radiation treatments were finished, they saw no evidence of cancer in the bladder area that they had treated. Sad to say, he had to have his bladder removed prior to treatments.
Now…unfortunately, no one knew it had spread to his brain. How sad for this wonderful family that have been already struggling since this journey began, just to find out he has stage 4 brain cancer from remnants of his bladder cancer that was supposed to be cured, but instead…traveled to his brain unknown. Sure, we could all say… well, why didn’t the doctors check him in other places? We wondered the same thing and we don’t have answers. We don’t know if we’ll ever get any, but it doesn’t change the fact that this family needs help. We are frustrated and sad. All along, it could have been treated and not progressed into a stage 4. The doctor say it’s rare for bladder cancer to travel to the brain, but it did for this kindhearted, loving family man. Please pray for him and his family who are deeply, sadly heartbroken. He has just received surgery and is on his way to chemo and radiation treatments real soon. Financially, they are really struggling and in need of help. Any donation would be so greatly appreciated. Even if it’s just a $1…every bit counts. Please be kind and generous. I truly believe it will come back to you someday. God Bless and thank you!!!
Have some spare to share? Please read the story below. This family is in desperate need of help. This is legit and not a scam. It is not in my character to do that to people. Please read! Thank you so very much!
Tony Michela hasn’t been able to work since his last diagnosis of bladder cancer a year ago that was treated and we thought…cured. They burned out all their savings within that years time just to get by. They really didn’t ask for much help from anyone because they didn’t think they needed it at the time because he was on his way to recovery and thought he would get back to where they were financially. He had also drawn a little unemployment and thought he was able to go back to work shortly after his Unemployment ran out. But …he started having a few stomach issues due to surgery removal of his bladder, that set him back for a bit. Then a little while down the road, he started feeling better to go back to work, he was even waiting to hear back on a couple of opportunities… but then, he started getting dizzy spells, then losing his balance, walking funny, then he started slurring his words and that’s when the test showed he had brain cancer, stage 4. Very rare for bladder cancer to travel up to the brain…but it happened to Tony. Doctors never bothered to check of the brain because it was so very rare for that sort of thing to .
This family will be getting help from organizations, will it be enough… probably not. It takes time and they don’t have that. They are really on the verge of losing things that they’ve worked so hard for including their home. So please…please, we have that goal set that they need and anything will help. You can remain anonymous if you wish. We need to get this money to them ASAP. Thank you so much. It’s definitely so greatly appreciated. If you’re anything like me… It’s a good feeling to help somebody, it’s humanitary and it’s the right thing to do.
