My son-in-law, Tony Coates, was recently diagnosed with Favorable Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is currently in UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, and will be there for at least one month. He will be having chemo for at least 7 months.

At this time, my daughter Cassie is trying to work to make ends meet, but it is really hard being away from Tony during the day. She stays at the hospital with him, goes to work, then back to the hospital after work. They were used to a two-person working income, so it is extra hard on her right now. She would love nothing more than to be able to stay with him while he is hospitalized. That's where we, as family and friends, can hopefully make it happen for her.
