Tony’s Funeral and Final Send-Off

Hi - I’m Kellie and myself and a group of his friends (thanks Antony Hopkinson and Heather Bellamy) are fundraising for a final send-off worthy of the wonderful man, Tony Steele. He was universally adored by all who met him and was one of a kind.

His wife of 10 years and partner of 25 years, Karen, deserves to have as few worries as possible as she copes with losing the love of her life. Karen works tirelessly and recently started her own arts company, which makes it even more crucial that she can future proof her life as she builds something new and not have additional worry about how she will manage financially.

Whilst Tony was not a religious man, and not bothered about a fuss for his funeral, it feels important his passing is marked in a significant way. Being an old hippy, he would love the idea of a fantastic party with good music, good food and his/ others’ creativity being celebrated through performance and art.

That is what we want for our Tony, along with taking some of the burden from Karen’s shoulders.

If you can spare any amount, no matter how small, it will be greatly appreciated. Any offers of help for the celebration event in terms of venue, sound/visuals, music, decoration and catering would also be wonderful. I’m sure I’ve forgotten to say a lot but thank you for reading this far.
