Tony’s Car Explosion Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jenny, Tony’s older sister. On January 13th, Tony was coming home after a long 2 weeks of work as a cook and unluckily fell asleep on the highway due to overworking and a long ride back home. Sadly, he crashed into the traffic barriers of an exit while he was driving 70mph, yet he was still unconscious even after his engine caught on fire. Tony finally woke up after his entire car caught on fire including his full body and ran out of his car quickly. He wore a lot of layers of clothes since it was cold that night and the puffer jacket all melted onto his skin and was rolling on the cold concrete ground for minutes to turn the fire off. He saw and heard his own car explode 3 times, and the massive explosion from his car was about 25ft tall. He cried and screamed on the highway with raging anger and sadness, yet he worried about his restaurant job since he operated majority even though he was badly injured.
Tony was in the hospital for 2 weeks and got Mesh-Skin Graft (larger burn areas) since he needed to cover 45% of the third degree burns throughout his body.
My brother’s dream is to own a small restaurant business where he can share his love of cooking with the community. Ever since he was young, Tony always has enjoyed cooking food, and started working in restaurants at 15 years old.
I decided to raise money for my younger brother because I want to take the financial weight off for him since he didn’t have insurance. Due to his both arms, left hand, upper body, both legs(ankle) burnt with nerve damage; he is unable to work for a while and focus on recovering safely.
Any funds will be used for his hospital bills(ambulance, rehab: physical therapy/occupational therapy, wound supplies). Thank you for taking your time to read and any support will be appreciated.
