Right now, she is no longer able to work due to side effects from 5 months of chemo treatments, a very invasive lumpectomy that left her with scar tissue and the need for physical therapy, over 6 weeks of radiation, and it doesn't seem to slow down from there.
Just before her last few radiation treatments, my mom had to have emergency gallbladder surgery: her gallbladder had to be removed immediately (chemo gave her a ton of side effects, this being one of them). Shortly after her surgery, she was struggling with sharp pains in her side, and went back to find out she had blood pockets from where her gallbladder had been.
She is suffering from nephropathy in both her hands and feet, swelling in her ankles and constant chronic fatigue. These side effects are now preventing her from being able to perform daily tasks, which leaves her not able to work. She is out of short-term disability, and does not have an income.
Fast forward to today, she is taking it day-by-day, keeping a positive attitude and keeping up on both her physical and emotional health.
We would like to send a huge thank you in advance for all those willing to help in any way possible. We would also love to thank those who have already donated, we appreciate you so much. We would greatly appreciate any donation and for you to share this on your Facebook page if possible.
My mom is a warrior, and I know she can get through this.
