As most of you know, back in 2001, my friend Tonya D'Hollosy was diagnosed with Cancer. With her friends (and God's) help she was able to get treatments and receive remission. Then, most of you may NOT know, 2 years ago her leukemia came back so they then put her on a different, even stronger, chemo medication and was able to again begin remission!
Unfortunately, because of her taking chemotherapy everyday for 10 years it has taken a toll on her body to say the least. She has alot of side effects from the medications such as bone problems, thyroid, blood pressure and now possibly Lupus and Osteoporosis. She's had several bone fractures (and casts on her leg) because the medication is affecting her bones. Her doctors said that they think these symptoms are because of the Lupus (which is extremely painful).
In addition to her physical challenges, Tonya was rear-ended in a car accident. She now has several herniated discs along with arthritis in her back. She used the money she got from the accident to help pay for all her bills instead of getting another car as she didn't want to ask any of us for help.
She found out that her income was going to be temporarily put on hold. So, since June she hasn't had any income and has not been able to work. Tonya hopes to get her disability back soon and get back on her feet! Until then, she needs our help to get by and to help her be able to move closer to be by her family and doctor’s while she heals.
